The Complete Board Care Kit
Everything your cutting board needs, in one hand-packed bag.
Give your board the care it deserves. Our Complete Board Care Kit brings together small-batch, organic wax and oil — made with fractionated organic MCT oil, real organic beeswax, and cosmetic-grade carnauba wax — with the tools to apply them right, all packaged in a reusable canvas bag you'll reach for long after the kit is gone.
What's inside:
- 4 oz Cutting Board Wax — organic beeswax, carnauba wax, and MCT oil, finished with a whisper of lemon essential oil
- 8 oz Cutting Board Oil — pure organic MCT oil, food-safe and fast-absorbing, with a hint of lemon
- 2 cotton applicator pads — one for oil, one for wax
- 1 buffing cloth — for the final polish
- Reusable canvas drawstring bag — to keep it all together, batch after batch
How to Use It
Your kit works as a two-part system: oil for deep replenishment, wax for everyday maintenance.
Step 1: Saturate with oil. Apply the oil generously with its dedicated applicator pad, covering the board or utensil completely. Keep applying if the wood absorbs the oil immediately, it's still thirsty, so add more. Continue until the surface stays visibly wet after wiping. Once it holds a wet sheen for about 30 seconds without soaking in, stop. That's your sign the wood is fully saturated. Let it sit and absorb the oil completely before moving on.
Step 2: Condition with wax. Once the oil has fully absorbed, apply the wax with its dedicated pad. The wax is a blend of organic coconut oil and beeswax. The oil in it will continue absorbing into the wood, while the beeswax itself sits on the surface, since it doesn't penetrate as deeply. Let it stand undisturbed for at least 2 hours, ideally overnight (up to 24 hours), to give the coconut oil time to fully absorb and leave the beeswax settled on top as a protective layer.
Step 3: Buff. After standing, lightly buff the surface with the cloth to remove the beeswax left sitting on top. This is just organic beeswax — completely food-safe. A light buff is all that's needed to reveal a smooth, protected finish.
Ongoing maintenance: Once your board is saturated and conditioned, a light coat of wax every 1–2 weeks (following the same standing and buffing steps) keeps it protected day to day. When the board starts drying out faster even with regular waxing, that's your sign to repeat the full oil saturation — typically every 4–6 months with daily use.
A few care notes:
- The two applicator pads are matched to each product. Keep one dedicated to oil, one to wax.
- Both pads and the buffing cloth are reusable; wipe clean after each use.
- Over time the buffing cloth can become saturated with old product and less effective. Wash it when you notice this to restore its absorbency.
Whether it's for your own board or a gift for someone who loves theirs, this kit is the complete, no-guesswork way to keep wood cutting boards conditioned, protected, and beautiful for years.
