Handcrafted Walnut Spurtle – Traditional Scottish Stirring Tool
Shaped from a single piece of rich, American black walnut, this classic Spurtle measures a comfortable 13" long and 1.25" wide. Care & Maintenance Tips
- Hand-wash only in warm water with mild dish soap; never use the dishwasher, soak, or submerge for long periods to prevent warping or cracking.
- Dry thoroughly immediately after washing—pat with a clean towel and air-dry upright.
- To keep the wood nourished, hydrated, and beautiful, periodically apply Sawyers Bench Timber Tonic, food-safe mineral oil, walnut oil. Rub a small amount in with a soft cloth, let it absorb (ideally overnight), then wipe off excess. Re-oil every few weeks or when the wood looks dry/dull.
- Avoid prolonged exposure to extreme heat or direct sunlight to preserve its rich color and strength.
